גַּרְדּוּםm. (גרדם) a stump. Ruth R. s. 1 end וילך איש ג׳ ‘and a man went (Ruth 1:1)a stump, i. e. without any description as to what he took with him (opp. to the description of the return to Palestine, Ezra 2:66); (Yalk. Ezra 1067 גָּדוּד, v. גָּדַד; ib. Ruth 598 גָּרוּד stripped, alone, cmp. גְּרֵירָא.Pl. גַּרְדּוּמִין, constr. גַּרְדּוּמֵי.
